Absurd ii

He put on his wife's
favorite pants,
pink,lacy,
gossamer thin.
However, they didnt
fit: with his obsession
for white.

Hospitals

Hospitals smell, as do schools
and hamsters,
not to the same degree,
all in the mind you see.
Its authority and fear,
fear brought on
by not knowing,
like airports,
all trolleys,smiles
waiting rooms,
departures,arrivals,
hello & goodbyes.
Ambulances don't need wings
nor aeroplanes compassion.

Hi, Just about to start my first chapbook, busy editing/polishing around 15 poems penned on a recent trip to Fethiye in Turkey

Mulling over several titles

Clouded sun, Spilt drinks, Mosquito bites, Chipped glasses

as you can see its not going to be a straight forward ' Fun in the sun' fare

Spring

Sweet air chilled
like a summers drink,
casting slanting sunlit
shadows long.
Slowly sinking
in sharpened air,
a full on throaty
black birds song.
